I did Winter Spiti Expedition with Wolfpack Adventures, and it was a fantastic experience. I first got to know about them through a friend who had already done the Winter Spiti ride with them. Initially, my plan was to do the expedition in a 4x4 with my wife, but her plans got cancelled at the last moment. I reached out to the team to see if it was possible to switch to a motorcycle instead, and despite the short notice they somehow managed to arrange one for me. I ended up riding a Hero XPulse 200 with the rally kit, and the bikes were prepped really well with fresh knobby tyres, which made riding in those winter conditions a lot of fun. The routes they planned were very scenic and really showcased the beauty of Himachal Pradesh. We did miss one section due to road closure, but that’s understandable given the weather and terrain. The hotels booked during the expedition were really good and comfortable. Another highlight of the trip was the people I met along the way — I made some great friends during this ride. Overall, it was an amazing experience riding through Spiti in winter. Huge thanks to the Wolfpack team for making it such a memorable trip.

A winter ride to spiti has been my childhood dream, and choosing them made it unforgettable. Rohit and Seemant didn’t feel like organizers, they felt like brothers. Every detail was perfect, safety, bikes, food, logistics, everything. By the end, leaving them felt emotional. I’m still nostalgic about the journey and I’m sure this is just the first of many trips with them. Thank you Wolfpack adventure for turning a childhood dream into a lifelong memory.

Had an amazing expedition with WolfPack Adventure, led by Seemant and Rohit. The entire trip was extremely well planned from the breathtaking routes to the fantastic hotels at every stop. What really stood out was how professionally they handled unexpected detours, which are a natural part of any real adventure. Everything was managed smoothly. I had a bike breakdown in the middle of nowhere and within minutes the backup vehicle was there, the bike loaded and off to the next stop where they managed to source parts and got them transported overnight only so I could ride and complete my trip. Hats off to the team for an unforgettable ride.

An Unforgettable Spiti Circuit Adventure with Wolf Pack Adventures! We recently completed our 10-day Spiti Circuit 2025 – Dilli Boys @ 13000ft with Wolf Pack Adventures and it was nothing short of phenomenal! From the very beginning, the team impressed us with their immaculate knowledge of the circuit, roads, and mountains. The off-roading experience up to 14,500 ft was thrilling, yet handled with absolute precision and safety thanks to their excellent presence of mind and preparedness. What truly set them apart was their seamless coordination with local contacts and homestays, especially Tara Home at Mudh Village – a gem we wouldn’t have found on our own. Mr. Simant, who led our trip, was incredibly responsible, compassionate, and always attentive to the needs of our most senior friend, Mr. Rajiv Juneja. His exceptional communication skills and timely guidance made each step – from choosing the right food, stays, timings, to managing weather conditions – completely stress-free. Their escort car concept was a brilliant addition, giving us the freedom to enjoy the drive while having expert guidance leading the way. Above all, the trip offered great value for money with no compromise on quality, safety, or comfort. We couldn’t have asked for a better partner for this adventure. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore Spiti with the right balance of thrill, safety, and local immersion. Sanjay Mehta, Vivek Baid, Rajiv Juneja, and Manan Madan

I recently had the incredible experience of joining Wolfpack Adventures for their Winter Spiti Expedition, and I can’t recommend them enough! This was my first time seeing snow, and the journey was nothing short of magical. What truly made this adventure unforgettable was the exceptional crew. All of them are locals from the region, and their deep knowledge added so much value to the trip. They shared fascinating details about the places we visited — things you wouldn’t find in a guidebook. The terrain was tough, especially in the harsh winter conditions, but the team’s top-notch off-road motorcycling skills made all the difference. They guided us through every challenging patch with patience and expertise, ensuring everyone felt safe and confident throughout the ride. If you’re looking for an adventure that combines thrill, breathtaking landscapes, and an authentic local touch, Wolfpack Adventures is the way to go. I’m already thinking about my next trip with them!

“An adventure of a lifetime, flawlessly organized by Wolf Pack! From the very first mile to the last stretch of our Spiti Snow Expedition, the team ensured an unforgettable experience filled with breathtaking landscapes, thrilling rides, and seamless coordination. The entire journey was challenging—icy roads, extreme temperatures, and high-altitude terrain—but Wolf Pack’s meticulous planning and experienced leadership made it all manageable and exhilarating. Their attention to detail, safety measures, and route selection ensured that every rider could push their limits while feeling completely supported. The camaraderie within the group was incredible, turning strangers into a family bonded by adventure and shared passion. Whether it was tackling snow-covered roads, enjoying warm meals in freezing temperatures, or simply sharing stories under the Himalayan sky, every moment was priceless. A huge shoutout to the Wolf Pack team for their dedication, professionalism, and passion for creating such epic motorcycle expeditions. If you’re looking for an adventure that pushes boundaries and leaves you with memories for a lifetime, Wolf Pack is the way to go. Looking forward to many more rides with this amazing team!

FAQs

Is this expedition suitable for beginner riders?

This is a technical ADV expedition, not a standard highway tour. While we provide briefings, you should be comfortable with off-road terrain, loose gravel, and water crossings. But you should still have prior experience with motorcycles to fully enjoy the Spiti circuit.

What is the "Wolfpack" approach to Indian traffic?

We decode the “chaos” for you. On Day 1, we conduct a Traffic Dynamics briefing covering mountain etiquette and “horn-language.” Our lead rider and sweep ensure the group moves as a cohesive pack as much as it can.

Will there be mobile network or Wi-Fi available?

Prepare for a digital detox. You’ll have signal from Manali till Kaza (BSNL/Airtel/Jio), but remote areas like Mudh and Chandratal are completely offline. We carry radio communication for emergency coordination during these “blackout” stretches.

When is the right time to ride the Spiti Circuit?

June and September month is the “Golden Window.” While much of India faces the monsoon, Spiti is a rain shadow desert, offering dry, technical riding under clear skies. This 60-day period is the only time when Kinnaur route and the high-altitude Kunzum Pass (4,551m) is clear and allowing access to Chandratal and the full circuit.

What fitness level is required?

Riding at 4,500m+ is a cardiovascular marathon, not a sprint. You don’t need to be an athlete, but a healthy heart and lungs are essential for managing the “thin air” of the Trans-Himalayas. We recommend a 4-week pre-tour routine of cardio (cycling/running) and core strength to combat saddle fatigue and keep your reflexes sharp during technical off-road.

Can I ride with Asthma, Anemia, or other conditions?

A professional medical consultation is mandatory if you have a history of respiratory or blood-related conditions. The Spiti circuit involves sleeping at 4,250m (Chandratal) and crossing 4,551m (Kunzum Pass), where oxygen levels are significantly lower than at sea level. Anemia directly reduces your blood’s capacity to carry oxygen, while Asthma can be aggravated by the thin, cold, and dusty mountain air. We require a physician’s clearance for these conditions to ensure your safety in these remote, “zero-medical” zones where emergency evacuation can take several hours.

Can I join the expedition in a car?

Absolutely. We offer limited seats in our 4×4 Backup Vehicle or bringing your own 4×4 vehicle for non-riders, partners, or photographers. You will experience the exact same route, high-altitude camps, and “Wolfpack” culture from the comfort of a rugged SUV. It’s the perfect way to witness the Spiti & Chandratal magic without the physical intensity of ADV riding, while still being an integral part of the pack.

Is there any cash availability in Kaza and beyond at Chandratal Lake?

No. There are no ATMs after Kaza, Kaza also has only one ATM which has long que most times & (UPI/Cards) sometimes might lag at Kaza due to satellite lag. So we recommend you to carry at least 15,000 INR in cash From Rampur itself or before for personal expenses, souvenirs, or traditional Tibetan crafts. Consider this part of the “off-grid” charm of the Wolfpack experience.
